Worldwide Glass Resources offers inserts to fit Standard Opening Vials as well as Large Opening Vials

  • 8-425 Screw Thread Vials use inserts with a 5 mm diameter.
  • 9 mm Screw Thread Vials, 11 mm Large Opening Crimp Vials and Snap Vials, 10-425 Screw Thread Vials, use inserts with a 6 mm diameter.
  • 13-425 Screw Thread Vials use inserts with 8 mm diameter.

Flat Bottom

Flat Bottom inserts lay flat on the bottom of the vial.

Conical Bottom (Pulled Point and Mandrel Point)

Conical Bottom taper to a point.  The bottom point rests on the bottom of the vial.  The manufacturing process of Pulled Point inserts creates the taper, while creating a flat surface inside the point.  The manufacturing process of Mandrel inserts creates the taper, while creating a conical surface inside the point.

Conical Bottom with Bottom Spring

A PP Bottom Spring can be attached to both Pulled Point Conical Bottom inserts and Mandrel Conical Bottom inserts, in glass or in plastic.  This spring helps center the insert inside the vial and protects the autosamplers' needle from impact with the insert.
